It’s almost Christmas time, aka one of the two times of the year where what you’ll be teaching in Sunday School is firmly locked in place. Of course, therein lies the problem. How do you make a story that all the little ones know by heart exciting again? Fret not, Kid Mins. I have scoured the big ol’ interwebs and found 5 ridiculously awesome (and inexpensive) ways to liven up your nativity teaching.

Here are some places I have found that have great stories for children's ministry.

A story of easter

This game takes a 3rd person telling of James' and John's mom asking Jesus to one day let her kids sit on his right and left; and leaves out key words and replaces them with silly substitutes. I suggest doing it as a group and getting a different response from each child. I've put what to ask for in parenthesis along with any explanations) and then at the end I've written the entire story correctly.

Learn to speak God's Word and trust Him

God will not tolerant a stubborn and rebellious attitude. We must follow Him just like we need to listen to our parents and teachers. Follow good leaders!

We must tell others about the love of God and share with them how to repent of their sins and ask Jesus into their hearts. When we obey the Great Commission, we are obeying God. He has given us the authority to do this, and He has promised to help us. Here is a good recipe that may help you.

God never changes. It doesn’t matter what you’re going through, or what things look like with your natural eyes. If you pray and believe that God will handle the problem, then He will.

We never know what God has in store for us.We must be willing vessels to be used for His glory. We must watch and be ready at any time.

We can be assured that no matter what our circumstances are, God will take care of us wherever we are.
