This game can be used to teach kids that if they know Jesus, they have the answer that a dark world needs. They need to let their light shine and share the truth of Jesus with a world in need.

Light the Darkness

Recently I bought two cool gizmos in Branson, Missouri. They are hand-held lights (much like a flashlight) but the lights are neon colored and spin. It really looks cool in the dark. If you don’t have anything cool like that, you can use flashlights for this game. Here's how to play. Split the kids into two teams. Call one kid from each team to the front of the room. Give them each a flashlight. Turn off all the lights in the room (darken the windows if needed to get it pitch black). Then ask a review question. The first child to light up gets to answer the question (with the lights still off). If he/she answers correctly, 10 points are earned for that team. If the answer is wrong, 5 points are lost. Call two more children to the front. Continue to play for several rounds. The Point: This game can be used to teach kids that if they know Jesus, they have the answer that a dark world needs. They need to let their light shine and share the truth of Jesus with a world in need. Review Questions (from past 4 lesson): Why are fishermen busy? Why must fishermen be patient? Why must fishermen be learners? Why does fishing require faith? Fill in the rest of the verse: “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the ______________” Romans 10:17 What is one Bible verse you can share to tell someone about Jesus? What is one way you can share Jesus with a friend? What power do fishers of men need to be effective? What do we need to get rid of in our life if we are going to shine for Jesus?
