I’ve been emphasizing Relational Ministry for decades – long before it became hip and common. There is a good chance I was the first to coin the term back in the early 90’s! But whether I was or not, I’m glad it’s a popular term today! Often it is used to talk about engaging in deep and meaningful conversations with those we minister to, which is a part of relational ministry, of course. But at its core, relational ministry doesn’t have to be “deep” to be relational. Honestly, it can quite simple and playful too.
