Say Goodbye to Fear

Topic: Handling Problems and Hardships

This object lesson uses a glass of water, coin and a piece of paper to demonstrate and teach the children how to have joy and peace when going through hardships.

Coin Drop

Materials Needed: Clear glass, card stock, a coin, water

Set up: Fill the glass about 2/3 full of water. Cut a piece of card stock (or use an index card) and have the card and coin by the glass.

Science Activity: Put the card on top of the glass and the coin on the card. Flick the end of the card with your finger so it goes forward off the glass and the coin falls into the water.

Lesson:
The bible tells us we will have problems and difficulties during our lives but God will give us his peace and joy while they take place. The problem is, often those hard times bring on fear because you focus on the problem instead of God.
