When you step on the stage in your children’s ministry, you’re not just filling time or entertaining children — you are stepping into a Sacred Trust. God has entrusted you with the eyes, ears, and hearts of His children. You are a Shepherd, a Spiritual Guide, a Biblical Storyteller, and a Worship Leader. 

This is holy ground, and we treat it as such. “Holy” literally means “set aside for a sacred purpose,” – our stage is set aside to introduce children to Jesus and then to guide them into a closer relationship with God. Let’s rise to the challenge with joy, passion, and intentional purpose.

Being on stage isn’t just “volunteering” or filling a need — it’s leading. And leading with excellence requires intentionality. We bring our A-Game every week — not for applause, not for attention, but to honor the One we serve and to engage kids with the greatest Message in the world. These four “A’s” are a simple but powerful guide for stage leaders:

1. A – Appearance: You Look the Part

• Kids notice everything — your clothes, posture, expression.
• Dress in a way that shows this matters.
• Themed is fun, but sharp and intentional is non-negotiable.

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the 
heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7

Yes, God looks at the heart—but kids look at your outfit. How you dress communicates a LOT how seriously you take your role.
