This is simply a FUN (no teaching value what-so-ever!) PowerPoint that makes fun of the silly kinds of toys that are out there.  It is extremely funny and kids will talk about it for weeks.  A good pre-service activity just for fun or as an introduction to a lesson on gifts or giving.

TWO VERSIONS OFFERED, each with PowerPoint, PDF and PNG versions.

If you use GO! Curriculum, one version is themed for the Light It Up series. Otherwise, a generic version is provided as well. You are welcome to change the PowerPoint backdrop to fit your own theme or minsitry. (Choose Format / Slide Background in PowerPoint and be sure to Apply to All so you don't have to edit each slide individually.)

I introduce this by saying something like this:

"Every year new toys come out. Some are awesome. Some are lame. What you may not realize is that new toys are proposed every year - but not all make it to market. Some are rejected as too dumb, too dangerous or simply too dorky. Here are some samples of toys that never made it to market. Would you want these?"
