How do you reach kids during the busy summer? Go to where they are: Right in their own back yards! And BRING THE FUN with you!

After realizing that VBS tended to reach mostly Christian kids, we decided to go where the kids were. (I'm not against VBS, I just believe its goals, while important and significant, are not primarily evangelistic.) Moving the venue to homes flips the percentage of unchurched kids from 5-10% to 90-95%! In the past I had done Backyard Bible Blasts. This time, I needed to change things up, (Gotta keep it new!) so I called them Backyard Bible SPLASHES!
