I love this site so much! I know God has gifted me with a unique way of relating to children and a passion of helping every child realize that they are able capable of having a strong, real, intimate relationship with the Lord their whole lives. But I get bogged down by the "job" part of ministry sometimes... how to run it, how to organize it, how to staff it, how to evaluate what is really making the difference and recognizing what's not... and am I doing the best I know how to do? Then I get on Kidology, read the forums and feel so encouraged to learn from such seasoned people that share the same passion. I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart.  I respect the work you are doing, the knowledge that you share and the respect that is given even when all don't agree.

Title: The Sky’s the Limit
Author/Source: Karl Bastian
Topic: Tower of Babel
Summary: The Tower of Babel illustrates so clearly man’s core desire to ‘make a name for himself.’ At the center of “sIn” is the letter “I” – pride is the root of all sin. The issue of this story is not the mere building of a tower, but the motive for which to do so. Pride caused them to focus their resources and energy on building something that would bring them glory. We may not build physical towers, but we can often find ourselves building our own ‘towers of glory’ – we can have a tendency to devote time, energy and resources on things that will make us look good, instead of furthering the Kingdom of God. Kids can relate to the pressure to be ‘popular’ – but they can learn that it is more important to focus on the difference you can make in the world, rather than how many people you.
