BE STILL
"Be Still and Know That I am God." We are all familiar with this verse from Psalm 46:10. But living it, that is often something we are not as familiar with. How do you get your mind, soul, and life QUIET enough to truly hear God speak? One of the best ways is to GET AWAY from the busyness of daily life and ministry and spend time alone with God.

When was the last time you spent some time just with God - not doing anything for Him, just being with Him? Well, that is what eight children's pastors and I just got to do for a week in one of the most spectacular National Parks in America. Check out the Yosemite Summit report and video... and consider whether God might be calling you GET AWAY and get with Him.

He is patiently waiting. What are you waiting for?

Because Jesus Loves Children,

KIDOLOGY REPORT: "FAITH AT HOME" SERIES
"According to Mark Holmen, senior pastor of Ventura Missionary Church in Ventura, CA, the answer to the question of "who's responsible for building faith at home?" should be parents first, next the senior pastor, and finally, the children's or family pastor."

Thus begins the review by Kidology CP Team member Frank Tan of 3 family ministry books: Faith Begins at Home, Building Faith at Home, and Take It Home. "Holmen led his church to become a church of family ministry and now wants to help other congregations to equip the home to be the primary place where faith is nurtured."

MOVIE REVIEW: INDIANA JONES 4
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"Many kids will enjoy Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but many will have nightmares as well," notes Kidology CP Team member Marty Martin.

"Some parents who take their children to see this movie will wish they hadn't. The special effects, hair-raising adventure scenes, and the classic sarcastic Indiana Jones humor will please fans of this series."

As with all Kidology movie reviews, we provide children's ministry-oriented teaching tools such as an overview, areas of concern, teachable themes with scripture, and discussion questions.
