During the week of May 18-20, Pastor Kim Bobb hosted Unbridled in central Ohio at the 3P Ranch... our retreat for female children's ministry workers. She was joined by Andi Howell (Grace Bible Church, Nacogdoches, TX), Jill Crew (Chicago First Church of the Nazarene, Chicago, IL), and Carol Ritz (New Life Vineyard Church, Hamilton, OH).

Kim summarized the experience:

Kim Bobb wrote:
"Unbridled was an amazing 3 days of rest, renewal, new relationships and of course, horses. Andi, Carol, Jill and I met in Circleville, Ohio for a time that none of us will ever forget. 3P Ranch provided us with a place of peace for our retreat.

We learned all about horses, how to ride and how to care for them. We also had incredible quiet times as we walked the property, sat by the pond, enjoyed the flower garden or sat by the horses.

Each evening we joined together for a blazing campfire, delicious food and great conversation. The peace we felt was overwhelming. I think I can speak for all of us when I say, we were sad to leave."

The other retreat attendees also chimed in about their time at Unbridled:

Andi Howell wrote:
"I love when God gives us a gift that we don't even know we want. Unbridled was God's gift of peace and relaxation for me. I have been to lots of conferences looking for better ways of doing ministry and some peace and rest, but I always end up back at home with a longer "To Do" list than when I left. But, I came home from Unbridled with a renewed passion for ministry, new friends to share life with, and an understanding that God is my refuge and my peace."

Jill Crew wrote:
"Unbridled provided a much needed getaway for me from the busyness of life and gave me new friends in ministry, much needed laughs, and a chance to encounter God in the most beautiful setting you could imagine. I had little experience with horses and had a great time! This retreat is a must for any woman in Children's Ministry!"

Carol Ritz wrote:
"I am so glad that I went to Unbridled. I have not felt so at peace and free of stress since I started working as a Children's Pastor. A few days to relax, refresh and get to know a few other amazing women was exactly what I needed! I am so grateful for the experience I had!"

These pictures only tell part of the story. The relationships that we cultivated together will last for years to come. I feel like I came home from Unbridled with fresh focus and energy. I also know that if I need something I can call on Andi, Jill and Carol to support me in prayer as sister in Christ who share a passion for reaching and teaching kids.
I have paid thousands of dollars through the years attending conferences all over the country and I can honestly say that this was the single best event I have ever been part of as a leader.

Unbridled would not be Unbridled without 3P Ranch. We could not have done anything that we did without our partnership with Joyce & Randy Petitt of 3P Ranch. They were AMAZING! They are an incredible couple who believed in the vision of providing women in Children's Ministry with a place of peace where we could encounter God in a big way. Their ranch is beautiful and nestled in the rolling hills of Circleville, Ohio. The horses at 3P are the best I have ever had the opportunity to be around.   Joyce taught us how to handle horses, how to care for them and how to ride. 3P Ranch truly is a sanctuary of peace that words cannot describe...I can only say, you have to be there to believe it. So, from all of us, we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Joyce & Randy for hosting us at 3P Ranch and for partnering with a dream that became a reality.

We are looking for dates for May of 2010 so if you are interested in attending, please stay tuned to Kidology.org for more information.
