One of my favorite quips is to say, “Billy Graham once told me not to drop names.” Of course, the legendary preacher never told me this; the joke is casually dropping a name while saying not to! We’ve all known some name droppers. Maybe you’ve even dropped a name here and there. It’s a highlight to experience a brush with greatness in life. So we can be guilty of trying to make sure others know who we’ve crossed paths with in life. Name dropping has an effect that can range from impressive to annoying.
