Book Five: The Kingdom Becomes Divided
The kingdom of Israel that Solomon inherits from David reaches its golden age. During this time, the wise King Solomon becomes filled with pride and fails to keep God’s law and commandments. The kingdom is divided into northern Israel and southern Judah. In the Book of Kings, we see God's miracles revealed through the prophets Elijah and Elisha, as well as the history of each king, some of whom obeyed the Lord and others who did not.
