Book Four: David, Israel’s Greatest King
Samuel searches for the next king of Israel and he learns that God's heart is with an ordinary boy named David. David displays great bravery on behalf of Israel and the more popular he becomes with the people, the more he becomes a thorn in the side of King Saul. Saul becomes filled with jealousy and this eventually leads to his tragic death in a battle against the Philistines. When Saul passes away, the kingdom is divided into two lands, Israel and Judah. David becomes the king of Judah and he works to unify and build the country until the day when the crown would be turned over to his son, Solomon.
