LOSING TRACK OF TIME
I lost my watch about a month ago and have been too busy to replace it. Shortely thereafter, I went on Yosemite Summit and was completely offline and disconnected from the world for an entire week. God spoke clearly and meaningfully during the week I have dubbed "Kidology's UNconference."
God seems so much more accessible when we get away from our daily schedules, tasks, and constant interaction with the world around us. The reality is, He is here as much as He was there - but we get too busy and distracted to stop and listen.
Now that I've gotten some things back in order (again), I'm eager to work at keeping the communion with God as close as it was along the trails in Yosemite... where my "to do's" were only to worship, pray, and listen. In fact, I'm seriously considering not replacing my watch, just as a reminder to be less concerned with the passing minutes and more with the days I am given.
