BECAUSE THE KIDOLOGIST'S MOTHER SAID SO
"What's growing up got to do with it? You are teaching next Wednesday!" These were a mother's words to a ten year-old boy after he explained that that he wanted to be a children's evangelist/pastor when he grew up. Yes, my mom understood that serving God had nothing to do with age, and that first Wednesday in front of a room full of peers was the beginning of a life of creatively teaching children and eventually equipping and encouraging others as well. Thank God for moms who get kids serving God, and thank God for children's workers who do the same each week! Are you putting kids in a place of service? Don't expect them to do it later if they aren't doing it now. After all, "What's growing up got to do with it?"

Because Jesus Loves Children,

MOVIE REVIEW: IRON MAN
Iron Man"From a pure entertainment viewpoint, Iron Man was quite the movie," notes Kidology CP Team member Jeramy Chapman. "Amazing special effects, superb casting, and a solid story help create one of the best superhero films of all time."

"But... this is not a kid movie. There's simply too much violence and other adult subject matter to make this movie kid-friendly." As with all Kidology movie reviews, we provide children's ministry-oriented teaching tools such as an overview, areas of concern, teachable themes with scripture, and discussion questions.

MOTHER'S DAY STORY & SCRIPT
Mother's Day"We honor others when we put their needs or wishes before our own. You really honored Mom today by doing everything I asked you to do... even though you would have preferred building your new Blocko castle. And when you honor others, you honor God, too!"

KIDOLOGY REPORT: REVEAL
"Wouldn't we all love to own an X-ray machine and line up our kids for regular 'heart' inspections?

Reveal doesn't propose to be the X-ray machine... but it comes about as close as we can to measuring a person's heart." Kidology CP Team member Marc Romero reviews Greg Hawkins & Cally Parkinson's Reveal. This book, authored in conjunction with a study at Willow Creek, helps answer the questions "Am I leading an effective ministry?" and "How would I even know I'm being effective?"
