YOU
MAY BE THE GREATEST PRIZE OF ALL This
month I got to spend a day in Washington, DC enjoying all
the monuments and reflecting on our blessings as Americans.
For my church kids (and
blog) I took some fun pictures "with the President" using
a George W. Bush mask I've had a lot of fun with over the
years. Somehow, we all long to get contact with those we respect
or see as important in our lives. Not many of us will really
get to hang with the President - but you can give something
even better to the kids in your ministry - TIME WITH YOU.
Yes, a day hangin' out with you may be the greatest prize
you could give a child in your ministry… it might just create
a memory that will last a lifetime. This Spring and Summer
work into your ministry calendar some time with individual
kids. The impact may be greater than your most creative Sunday
morning lesson!

BOWLING FOR FAiRNESS Here's
a 4-lesson unit written by Karl Bastian covering the virtue
of fairness. Get this, it uses the theme of bowling! (Yes,
bowling... sometimes the Kidologist "strikes" upon a crazy
idea or two.) "When you feel you are not being treated FAIR
- drop the "i" and go FAR."

BOOK

to start a 'Book of the Month' group for Children's Pastors,"
asks Network Forums and CP Team member TheJourney. "During
that month, we would post thoughts and insights on how the book
applies to our personal ministries and the kingdom as a whole."

I AM YOUR FATHER!?! Karl
Bastian, the Kidologist, writes: "On April 1 my life radically
changed forever. Not only have I never needed an alarm clock

very early every morning to feed, change and love on a little
baby boy named Luke Given Bastian."
