A Spooky Halloween Single Lesson
| Spooky Lessons of the Bible: Death Has No Sting is a SINGLE LESSON selected from our popular Halloween teaching unit
by Karl Bastian. This self-contained, stand-alone lesson helps guide
your children to a biblical understanding of life, showing how Jesus
defeated death.
The theme of this lesson is based on 1
Corinthians 15:55, 57: "'Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O
death, is your sting?' But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ."
The focus is on the
Resurrection of Jesus and its centrality to the Christian Faith. By
teaching this lesson, you'll be able to redeem the season in a way
you've never seen before, all while allowing your children to enjoy the
season in a wholesome and fun manner.

5 Things Every Ministry Leader Should Be Doing With Their Family
|
Is your family involved in children's ministry? If so, are you excited about it, or do you need a reminder as to why you serve? Brian Dollar shares his tips with you:
"This week
I got an email from a fellow Kids Pastor. It said, 'How hard do you
push your children? On those days when someone from the church has been
extremely rude, or when a party took place on a Saturday night and
Sunday morning my kids show up and have to clean before worship service
can even begin, or when they are just plain TIRED. Everyone gets
frustrated from time to time because we are dealing with humans. How do
I, as a mother, know when I'm pushing them too hard. The LAST thing I
want is for them to look back one day and resent the time and energy
that the Children's Ministry takes.'"

Short on Staff?? Gimmie! Gimmie! to the Rescue!
|
Gimmie! Gimmie! Thanksgiving is a fast-paced, holiday trading game that illustrates thankfulness vs. selfishness.
Ideal for just a few kids as well as large groups, the object is to collect a complete set of Thanksgiving cards, while avoiding the greedy Gimmie! Gimmie!
Hectic fun unfolds as players shout "Two! Two!" and other combinations of cards to trade, all while working to build a matched set in the time allotted.
Adapted by Karl Bastian as a solution for understaffed volunteer situations around the holidays, this Gimmie! Gimmie! game provides an interactive object lesson while requiring just a few leaders to run.
