Christmas is a celebration of the most wonderful day of the year... the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

The true meaning of Christmas can get lost in all the hustle and bustle of preparation for the big day: shopping, wrapping, baking, hosting, visiting... these are all wonderful ways that we show our love to those around us.

But in all the excitement of the holiday, let's not forget the reason we celebrate. It is because our Father in Heaven loved us so much, He sent to us His only son to be our salvation, so that we could learn to know Him and live eternally with Him.

There is no greater gift... or love... than that!

All of us here at Kidology wish you a very Merry Christmas, and may the time spent with your family and friends be a time or relaxing, reconnecting, and reflecting on the great love our Savior has for us all.

Because Jesus Loves Children,

Retaining Visitors

The Kidology Zones are chock-full of ideas...like this one from Mimi Bullock of Ministry-to-Children. She has some great tips to help you retain visitors from your holiday services, and keep them coming back for more!

"From the small church program to the larger spectacles like a Christmas pageant, chances are you will attract a lot of attention during the holidays, as evidenced by the increase in attendance. It's nice to see the pews full and the seats taken, isn't it?

Did you know that Christmas attendance doesn't have to be a fluke? You really can catapult your children's ministry if you're willing to do things a little differently this year. I will share with you my three-part program that helps me retain more families each year. Ready to retain visitors?"

Kick Off Your Year to a Great Start - With Personalized Coaching!
Kidology Coaching

Kidology Coaching is a Very Unique Experience.

There are many training opportunities today that are offered that use the term "coaching" that would be better described as "training."

  • Watching online training videos about various skills and aspects of children's ministry can be very helpful - but it is not coaching.
  • Joining into a group call to hear from an expert in children's ministry can also be a great learning experience, but it also is not coaching.
  • Having a kit that gives you some area of leadership to focus on each week can be a useful resource, but it also is not coaching.
  • Even talking with an expert regularly for advice is not necessarily coaching if they have not been trained in how to coach.

If they are just telling you what they think you should do, they are consulting or advising, not coaching. All of these things, and other helpful tools, can be a helpful supplement to your leadership development, but they should not be confused with genuine coaching.
