Use My Bible?

While I use puppets, object lessons, media clips, illusions, and more to creatively teach and engage children, these are never a substitute for teaching with and out of a Bible.

Kids learn by what they see - they need to see you teaching with and from an actual Bible. And they learn by what they do - reading in and from an actual Bible.

This is the main reason I wrote the "How to Use My Bible", the second installment in the DiscipleTown Kid's Church curriculum that we're producing in conjunction with DiscipleLand. For children, the Bible can be a very intimidating book simply due to its size.

"How to Use My Bible" is a stand-alone unit, although it makes a great follow-up if you also have DiscipleTown's "How to Worship God". Either way, it's an excellent tool to motivate kids to practice applying biblical principles to their daily lives. The Bible is not just a book to be studied -- but God's Book that can change their world!

Movie Review: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"Meatballs... I love Italian food. But not when it is the size of a building," notes Kidology CP Team member Alan Phillips in his movie review of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

"I believe this film has some very real and teachable themes. For example, following your dreams, never giving up, and going the extra mile for your family and friends."

As with all Kidology movie reviews, we provide children's ministry-oriented teaching tools such as an overview, areas of concern, teachable themes with scripture, and discussion questions.

Your Salvation
SurveysAs we all seek to bring children to Jesus, here's your chance to share with children's ministry folks a little of what brought YOU to Christ.

There are many stats floating out there about the percentages of Christians who came to Christ as a child. George Barna has offered his own, probably the most substantiated.

Consider taking this survey and viewing the results to see how your story compares to others.
