Karl
Bastian, the Kidologist
- Kidology 101: Effective Relational Ministry to Kids
Kidology is the study of kids and their world. To be an effective
minister to today's children, one must learn to do it from within
the context of their culture. A working knowledge of a kid's world
is an inroad to their heart. When children see that you are genuinely
interested in their world, they in turn will become interested
in what you are interested in -- namely God's Word and the Good
News of Jesus. (Also available in Spanish
with Susana Orellana).
- Making Your Discipline Problems Disappear
Learn how to prevent discipline problems, how to deal with
them effectively when they arise, with a special focus on what
is going on in the minds and hearts of children when they misbehave
so that you can better understand how to respond and mold them.
(Also available in Spanish with Susana
Orellana).
- KC Krew: Using Kids to Plan, Prepare and Pull Off Kids Church
For fifteen years, Pastor Karl has used children to help plan,
prepare and pull off his Kids Church service. Come benefit from
years of experience in using kids to minister to kids. Several
of Karl's "KC Krew Kids" are now in ministry and at Bible colleges
preparing for a life of ministry - in large part because they
started serving young. You will learn why kids should be running
children's church, how to choose, train, and manage a team of
kids, what a kid-run kid's church looks like, as well as get some
ideas for how to disciple and train kids for ministry!

Preschool classes, small groups or parties! So roll up your sleeves

- Family Blitz: Planning and creating special events to bring
children and parents together
The churches of today have the opportunity to prepare parents
for a more significant role in the spiritual development of their
children. We are called to support parents in their efforts to
raise godly, kingdom-focused, world-changing young people. Surveys
indicate that parents are not so much unwilling to provide more
substantive training to their children as they are ill-equipped
to do such work. This workshop will help you plan and implement
fun, wild and growth events to bring parents and children together
successfully.
