- They're Driving Me Nuts! Four Causes of Behavioral Problems
in Children's Ministry
We cause the majority of our own discipline problems in children's
ministry. Find out why -- and more importantly -- what you can
do about it. Come all ye who are ready to take arsenic or give
it to someone!
- Teaching With the End in Mind: What Do You Want Children
to Know and Be Able to Do?
What is it -- exactly -- that you want those you teach to
know and be able to do? I dare you to answer that question. And
don't miss this workshop because we'll begin to wrestle down some
exit goals. Please bring your thinking cap -- and your sense of
humor -- with you!
- Time Management for Painfully Pooped Out Children's Ministry
Workers
"I'd love to, but I just don't have the time." Have you heard
these words before in children's ministry? The number one issue
for volunteers these days is time. In this session you will learn
three biblical principles for helping busy volunteers take control
of their life and time. Come all ye who are painfully pooped-out.
- Caffeinated Volunteers: Twelve Ways To Motivate Volunteers
The effectiveness of your children's ministry is -- to a large
degree -- dependent upon the motivation level of the volunteers.
But what makes a children's ministry volunteer tick? If you want
to learn what motivate volunteers to serve well -- then this session
is for you. If you are looking to use and manipulate volunteers
-- then please don't come to this session.

- The Non-Musician's Guide to a GREAT Children's Worship Program
Most children's ministry workers are NOT musicians, but need a
rockin' music program to engage the kids during Kid's church,
don't you think? In this workshop you will get a "jump start"
in picking songs, how to lead praise and worship (or help for
finding someone), and getting your kids to join in with fun choreography.
We will analyze actual situations that have worked (and failed),
and discuss how to tailor your Music Time and take the "next step."
- Using Technology to Engage Kids
What can children's ministers learn from Disney, Nickelodeon,
and MTV about engaging kids? This workshop will be a lively brainstorming
and application session where you'll pick up powerful ideas to
make your music and teaching stick in the children's minds. We
will talk about using sound effects, music, lighting, and video
to reinforce the concepts and truths you're teaching from God's
word.
