What's New on Kidology.org?

Welcome to the "extreme makeover" of Kidology.org!  We've recently undergone some redecorating to spruce up the place a bit, added new features, and created a framework "under the hood" that will help facilitate innovative tools and development down the road.

Fresh Face on a Trusted Friend

You may notice a new design here on Kidology.org.  You've told us that you wanted easier access to tools you love, such as the most recent Zone ideas and Forum conversations.   Now they are conveniently located on the homepage!  Our popular Garage Sale, which features used children's ministry resources submitted by Kidology Members, adds new products on an almost daily basis... and they often sell quick.  Now you can easily glance at what's new  so you won't miss out.  Plus, see the latest in other popular sections, including our Online Training, Job Center, and Podcasts.

We've also improved navigation around Kidology with a handy menu system on the left side.  Quickly jump to various sections, grab what you need, and move on elsewhere.  Plus, our global search has been relocated right on top of every page, so it's always there to help you look for great children's ministry ideas.

You'll like the improvements we've brought to our Zones, which are literally full of thousands of ideas and growing... now featuring improved summaries that allow you to pinpoint what you need.  Over in the Kidology Store, we've "rearranged the aisles" so to speak, with improved category organization and the ability to browse by product vendor and even holidays!  Plus it's the best way to see the latest in Kidology-exclusive curriculum and resources, including kid-favorite ToyBox Tales and Online Training Download Kits for you and your staff.  As always, your Kidology Membership provides great discounts when you shop, which is ideal when you are trying to build your Speed Stacks inventory or needing other resources!

Have you ever wondered what others in children's ministry think about a topic? Now's your chance to compare the thoughts in your head against thousands of others via Kidology Surveys.  Based on a trusted system we developed for events like the annual Children's Pastors' Conference, here's your chance to voice your opinion about various topics... measuring your choices with others in children's ministry around the world.

Whether you are a full-time children's pastor, part-time volunteer, or just someone who works with kids, you'll want to keep your eye on the surveys we'll be having in rotation.  It's a great way to measure the pulse of what's going on.  You may just be surprised by the results!

Continually, Kidology's active Discussion Forums have provided a great opportunity for conversation and questions about children's ministry topics.  Notably focused on timely responses, answered questions, and a welcoming environment for rookies and experienced CM folks alike, they continue to provide just one of many tools available to the users of Kidology.  Building on that interaction, Kidology has long had a presence on the Facebook social network, including our growing Facebook Fan Page which allows you to stay on top of topics, discussions, and resources that your peers encounter daily. 

Now you can post comments on the 1,000s of ideas in our Zones using your Facebook account, without ever leaving Kidology!  Our new Facebook integration builds conversations around curriculum, lessons, creative ideas, and more.  Beyond that, you'll be able to see what your Kidology+Facebook friends are talking about via your Facebook News Feed.  If you have a Facebook account, we encourage you to give it a try, and be on the lookout for more great Facebook-related features coming soon.  Go ahead, test it right now!

New Affordable Membership Options

Let's face it.  The economy stinks and we've all seen how that has impacted our ministries.  Budgets are reduced, travel to conferences limited, and often larger burdens are placed on smaller teams of staff. 

Here at Kidology, we want to help by changing our membership organizational structure a bit, simplifying into two categories: Basic & Premium.  Basic Membership is FREE and provides you with limited access to our idea Zones and Forums.  Basic also provides the ability to interact using Facebook on selected Zone submissions, contribute resources to our searchable Directory, and as always, share your ideas.  It's a great way to get your feet wet with all the resources available on Kidology!

Our Premium Membership provides global access to all Kidology tools and features.  If you were previously a Kidology Volunteer, Professional, or Group Membership holder, you've automatically been upgraded to our Premium Membership level, providing you the same access and more.  This includes complete reign in the searchable knowledge base of ideas via the Zones, member-exclusive Online Training, Job Center listings and resumes, downloadable ToyBox Tales library of 100+ videos, discounts in the Kidology Store, active Discussion Forums, the ability to sell your used children's ministry resources in the Kidology Garage Sale, and much, much more.
