THE GREATNESS OF LITTLE THINGS
While I'm on vacation with my family in Colorado, I've been intrigued by my son Luke's curiosity over the littlest things as we explore nature's beauty. Often I've had to nudge him forward to see greater things when he was content with a little stone or stick. I wonder if my heavenly Father does the same, trying to lead me to more amazing things while I sit content with less and nearly miss the greater.

Luke loves finding little places he can crawl into and feel like it is his own "special place." Many times, even just at home, he finds the greatest pleasure out of the simplest things. What a lesson to us! Often, in order to be moved or excited, we place the bar so high that we miss the joy that can be found in the little things that are all around us.

Don't forget to take time to observe the little things in your life and ministry this week... they may open the door to something great!

SHEPHERD OR SHEEPHERDER?
Shepherd or Sheepherder?"You went into children's ministry because you wanted to be a shepherd of children," notes Karl Bastian, the Kidologist. "However, all too soon you became more sheepherder than shepherd. Before you knew it, being a minister gave way to being an administrator. What changed?"

SWINE FLU
Swine FluNetwork Forums member miznetter writes: "This week we're posting a reminder in our bulletin about well child policies and letting parents in our toddler rooms know that we disinfect our toys after usage by children.

This is particularly happening because we have had some inquiries after the swine flu publicity. It's stuff we've always done but we're just making sure that we are proactive.

Any of you doing or addressing anything with regards to this?"
