STITCH
ME UP, I'M READY! Labor
Day has come and gone, and with it, the transition from summer
to fall (and maybe a few
stitches in my case!). It's a busy time, that's for sure!
Last Sunday was our Kick Off Sunday and I still have a ton
to do. But I'm excited to be back into the "Fall Sunday Routine".
Here at Kidology we have many training opportunities coming
up to help "equip and encourage" you in your ministry as you
kick things into high gear. And if you can't come to a training
event in person, remember there are always resources available
in our Zones
and Network
Forums. We've also partnered with Children's Ministries
University Online to start offering fully-accredited classes
online. It's an exciting time to be working in CM!
Because

put you in a position of leadership in children's ministry
for a purpose," writes author and Kidology contributor Larry
Shallenberger. Various leadership styles are profiled, including
that of Karl Bastian, the Kidologist (in Chapter 6). Discover
your personal leadership style so you can maximize your
strengths.

DONATING
TOWARDS HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF "Last
week, we taught on the importance of service. This week, we'd
like to put into action what we taught," writes Network Forums
member James Williams. "A lot of kids are rightfully
troubled by the damage that Hurricane Katrina did. We
like to do some sort of small service project, but every relief
agency we've looked at is only looking for monetary donations."
ORDER
OF THE ANCIENT - CHAPTER 21
"As a guard rounded the corner of the building toward the loading
dock, Josiah saw his chance. There was an electric cable
that passed from the roof of the dormitory down to the roof
of the Science Building. As he quickly moved toward the cable
he took off his belt and then threw it over the wire."
