Hillsong Kids Follow You
Dynamic (dî-nâm'ĭk) Of or relating to energy or to objects in motion…characterized by continuous change, activity, or progress…marked by intensity and vigor; forceful.
The definition of dynamic also defines Hillsong Kids latest release, Follow You. This energetic, active, intense, vigorous and forceful offering is sure to catch the attention of everyone in your children’s ministry…and for good reasons.
- This is the music of this generation. Listen to what your kids are listening to and you will find the style matched here.
- The songs are fun, yet meaningful. There is “meat” to this music. You won’t find mindless lyrics. What you will find are words and music that actually mean something. The meaning is not watered down or made cute for the sake of being cute. The songs are so relevant.
- While there are motions, watching the DVD, you won’t just see cute kids doing cute things…you will actually see children worshipping God. This can only encourage the same in your kids.
- Children are attracted to this music. I played the DVD during the time between Sunday School and KIDS Church. This is usually a wild, noisy time, but kids were actually getting their snack, doing various activities, etc….but they were doing it quietly completely enthralled by the music. Several asked where I bought it and how their parents could buy a DVD for them.
Included in this project is Hillsong favorite, Take It All. There are very active songs such as Follow You and Spinning Around. Trust and Obey is just one of the beautiful commitment songs. The theme of the project is being devoted to God, prayer, God’s Word and the church.
The DVD is actually a great teaching tool. It has three separate segments of songs with sketches, Bible verses and teaching to go along with the music. There is also the option of only playing the songs. When asked, Integrity said that there were no lyrics on the screen, which is technically true; however, you can use the subtitles as lyrics, making it a great source for use in a worship service setting. Also included on the DVD are movement suggestions and other helps. The CD contains all thirteen songs on the DVD.
