Thank you so much Karl! I want you to know that when I started in Children’s Ministry 5 years ago you and Kidology (they are one and the same) have been and still are a GREAT resource and guide.

Just overnight!  I had some family things going on, and did not get to see the movie the first night!  I am working on the review right now!

Great review, Nancy. Thank You!

I saw it on Sunday evening with my family and agree it was creepy, disgusting/totally inappropriate (barely naked ladies) and disturbing (items of the occult) to see some of the images.

Surprised, tho by the "messages" about greener grass and the trappings of temptation. It did spark family conversation on the way home about temptation and contentment and I'm glad for that.

What was up with the cat?

I'm sure glad this info is here, because I don't know anything about this movie. My daughter (19) saw it and loved it. Looking forward to the reviews.

When in doubt, before you send your child to a movie....and there is no review here...go to Plugged-In Online.

Coraline was originally a horror/fantasy graphic novel by Neil Gaiman. You can read about the story on wikipedia. Even before seeing the movie, you could look up the source as well.
