Hi Everyone,

I am at this moment in the final stages of finishing our new Hillsong Kids album "Tell the World"!!! Yay.

Check out pre-order here:
Tell the World

I would love to get some feedback on how you wonderful people that have used our past album make use them in your services!

Question 1:
Do you use the worship set, backing track accompaniments or are you more likely to use single songs?

Question 2:
Do you rip the files off to MPEG and use with media-shout / Sundayplus etc?

Question 3:
Who had no idea the albums had backing tracks to use in your children's ministry?

I would love to get some feedback in order to make future resource even better!!!

Thanks and bless your cotton socks!

Answer 1: We use single songs

Answer 2: We rip the songs off and convert them to MP4 to use on a video Ipod.

Answer 3: I knew about the backing tracks...

Bonus Unsolicited Answer: we love the Worship DVD's you have put out. Our kids love them and we use them each week!! Keep up the good work!

We use accompaniment and singles

yes rip them off to play in our order then destroy after use.

know and use backing tracks

And ditto - keep up the great ministry - our kids love the songs - even kids who swear they don't like to sing :)

Question 1:

We pretty much use single songs

Question 2:
Do you rip the files off to MPEG and use with media-shout / Sundayplus etc?

We rip ours to MPEG.  It would be great if you guys offered the songs predone in MPEG form for churches, if that is cost effective.

Question 3:
Who had no idea the albums had backing tracks to use in your children's ministry?

I was familiar w/ this.

We absolutely love your stuff!!!

2. Yes we rip the DVD down into MP4 format to run through Pro|Presenter
3. I was aware of the backing tracks but at this time we use the vocals as well.

WE LOVE YOUR MUSIC!!!

We recommend it to everyone.  When ever someone asks us, “How do I get 5th and 6th graders to participate is praise and worship?”  We tell them Hillsong Kids.  We have even bought additional DVD’s to show to other Children’s Leaders to preview.  We try to describe the DVD’s to them but words don’t do them justice.  The response we always hear is WOW we have to get these.

Yes, we are aware of all of the features, and point them out to others.  We especially love the backing track accompaniments.  Once the kids have learned the song, we then start using only the backing track.

One question I had is why are the DVD’s menu options different?  In training our tech crew I noticed they have to click different things to get to the backing tracks.  I guess this won’t be a problem once we learn how to rip the songs.

In the beginning we used the worship sets but now with three albums to choose from we like to pick songs from the different albums.

Keep up the good work we are looking forward to the new album!!

Blessings,

John & Janna

Thank you for ministering to so many kids thru your music!!! Our kids love it!

1. We use mainly the single songs.
2. We mainly rip the songs and use our ipod mixer or MAC
3. Was aware of the backing tracks.

thank you so much for also releasing the DVD's. It's great for our team to be able to reference them as they look at motions.

Blessings!

Do you mean the menus differ over different albums?

Or is it just to hard to play the tracks?

We mostly use single songs.

I will agree, on the DVD menu options, there are several steps to get to what you want, which takes much longer.  My sound/media tech can't quickly pull up a song.

WE LOVE YOUR DVD'S! Our biggest issue is that only one has subtitles!

The kids like to watch the live worship much more than the sing-a-long tracks. So we play the live worship with subtitles, unfortunately not every DVD has that.

Please bring back subtitles on the Next DVD!

David,

The menu choices are different for the different albums.  I'm sure there is a good reason for this, but it makes it difficult for me to discribe to the tech crew which version I want.  I started putting in our order of service which DVD to play, along with what to click on inorder to get the song version we needed.  I know once I learn Easy Worship or Media Shout we will no longer have this problem.

Thanks,

Janna

Yes indeed, to use different backings off different albums will always be a bit tricky.

I HIGHLY recommend getting a hold of the MPEG libraries as soon as you can.

Do you offer MPEG's online so that they can be downloaded?

Of the songs that we use in our ministry, all but 3 or 4 of them are MPEGs that I have downloaded (those songs I can't find MPEGs to online, soon we're going to make the MPEGs ourself). I don't order entire DVD's because I usually only want maybe 3 or 4 songs. Plus it saves me the time of having to convert them over to the computer.

If you guys put your MPEGs online... I'll more than likely order like 15 of them.

Well the results of this little poll suggest that MPEG is the way to go.

I am investigating making all backing videos available online as MPEG, or even including them on our DVD's as DVD-ROM content...

Thanks for your comments, they are much appreciated!

Awesome! As always you guys do excellent work.

Does the Mpeg download come with the words?

Are past DVD's going to be offered through Mpeg online?

This specific Mpeg is more of a music video, eventually all songs will be available as mpeg, just not sure about online...
