VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Regarding your GROUP MEMBERSHIP to Kidology.org

THIS MESSAGE RELATES TO GROUP MEMBERSHIPS ONLY! This page explains how to set up and communicate your Group Membership to the members of your church or organization.

• PLEASE NOTE: Each member of your group will have their OWN membership, with their OWN individual username/password that they set up themselves. The ONLY difference between a member of a group and a Professional Membership, is that your group members will not need to pay. Your group members will sign up on their own, they just will never be prompted for credit card information. The Group Administrator should NOT share their username/password with their voluneers. The reason for this is that each individual will need their own Forum ID for use in the discussion forum. If you share your username/password your volunteers will be posting in your name.

• HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!

  • Log in as the administrator. You can log in with the log in box in the upper left hand corner of the site. If you do not share a computer I recommend going to the Membership Center where you can check 'Remember Me' when you log in, and then you won't have to log in every time you visit Kidology.org - you will be remembered and automatically logged in!
    
  • Next, you will see: View Your Membership Info
    Enter there and do the following:
    1) Note your Membership ID
    2) Click at bottom: Edit Membership Info
    3) Update your membership info (if anything is incorrect) You can alter your e-mail, password, etc. Your forum name will be set up as your current username, and can only be changed by e-mailing support@kidology.org. In general, these are not changed.
    4) Choose a 'question' and 'answer' - this is what you will give to your volunteers to sign up and to confirm they are from your group.
    Keep the answer short and simple, and NO CAPS or spaces since they have to enter it EXACTLY correct.
    EXAMPLE:
    Question: What is the room number of the Kid's Church room?
    Answer: 100
    
    
• HERE IS HOW YOUR VOLUNTEERS WILL "JOIN" FOR FREE!
• You will give them both the Membership ID and the Question/Answer
• They will come to kidology.org and go to Membership Center.
  They will see:
  If your church or organization has purchased a group membership, please register to become an active member.
• They will click on register and first have to enter the Membership ID and then on the next page they will be asked the "Answer" to your question (which will be displayed for them), and then given fields to fill in: Name, E-mail, Password, and Forum name. When they click SUBMIT if the answer to the question is right, they will be a member of the site!
• All you need to do is keep the membership current. You can always check your expiration date by going to the Membership Center, where, after logging in, you will see: Renew or Extend Your Membership (followed by your expiration date)
• It is recommended that you 'test' the registration process yourself so that you can more easily explain it to your volunteers. However, you will have to use a different e-mail address - since your e-mail address is your username. No duplicates are allowed in the system. Use an alternate, spouse or child's e-mail address if you wish to test the registration process. This will help you understand it better and answer questions from your volunteers.
  
  
• ANOTHER NICE FEATURE: If you are logged in and visit Membership Center, you can click on View Member List and see a list of volunteers who have joined.
  
  
• FINALLY - Here is a sample e-mail that you can use to send to your volunteers AFTER you have prepared your account for them to register!

I have some exciting news for you! I have just purchased/renewed our Group Membership to Kidology.org. I am pleased to provide for you this powerhouse of HELP filled with games, stories, object lessons, puppet scripts and more. If you have never seen Kidology.org , go there now and join now as a member of our group - and it's free for you!

GO TO: www.kidology.org and then click on the Membership Center (Upper right hand corner)

In the Membership Center you will see:

If your church or organization has purchased a group membership,
please register to become an active member.

Click on "register" and you will be asked to enter our Membership ID, which is [enter your ID number here]. Then on the next page you will be asked the "Answer" to a question which will be displayed - the "Answer" you need to put is: [enter your Answer here].

Then simply fill in the fields on the rest of the page: Name, E-mail, Password, and Forum name. Your forum name is the username you will use in the forum to enter into discussions. It can be your name or a nick name of your choice.

When you click SUBMIT you will be a member of the site and will have full control of your membership and its settings!
