	Why is Kidology.org a Pay Site?

If we are a non-profit ministry, why do we charge a membership fee?

Good Question! It is because we are committed to fully harnessing the power of the Internet to accomplish our mission! That means we are dedicated to providing the BEST help possible via this website - and that is expensive. We have invested over $100,000 in this website, but most of that is not from our membership fee. We are grateful to donors who have helped to finance this ministry's development over the years. These are individuals who have caught our vision and helped bring it into reality.

The membership fees primarily help provide the staff that keep this ministry going and to cover our significant online costs from server space, and bandwidth, and all the other technical expenses that go along with a website of this caliber. While our membership fees are a wonderful help, the reality is we are still a faith-based ministry and depend on donations to provide what we do. Our membership fee (because it is so low by industry standards) will never fully support this ministry.

The membership fee is designed to help support the site and enable us to provide responsive customer support, it is not intended to keep anyone out. If the membership fee is sincerely a financial burden (especially for missionaries and overseas workers) please contact us and let us know. But for the most part we believe that anyone who can afford a computer and Internet access can afford at least the volunteer membership fee which we are committed to keeping at the ridiculously low price of only $1 a month.
