SPOOKY Lessons of the Bible: Single Lesson
| Spooky Lessons of the Bible: Death Has No Sting is a SINGLE LESSON selected from our popular Halloween teaching unit
by Karl Bastian. This self-contained, stand-alone lesson helps guide
your children to a biblical understanding of life, showing how Jesus
defeated death.
The theme of this lesson is based on 1
Corinthians 15:55, 57: "'Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O
death, is your sting?' But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ."
The focus is on the
Resurrection of Jesus and its centrality to the Christian Faith. By
teaching this lesson, you'll be able to redeem the season in a way
you've never seen before, all while allowing your children to enjoy the
season in a wholesome and fun manner.

Are You Sabotaging Your Ministry Volunteers?
|
We know it's not intentional.
You would never purposely sabotage your volunteers. But what if it's
happening anyway? Read these quick tips from Mimi Bullock in
her article, "Are You Sabotaging Your Ministry Volunteers?" They may
help you become more aware of ways you jeopardize the volunteers in
your ministry.
"I am
about to be very transparent here--learning how to manage people kindly
and thoughtfully didn't come easily for me. I have been blessed to
work with some wonderful people, but working with me--a creative,
sometimes unorganized children's pastor--hasn't always been easy. We'd
show up to teach and realize I didn't delegate a craft properly, or
forgot to mention we needed a snack this week...
Twenty years later, I am happy to say that things are better, but I am of course a work in progress."

|
The Well Equipped Volunteer Children's Ministry Handbook
is a 400+ page manual for Children's Ministry leaders and volunteers to
help them start and grow a thriving Children's Ministry.
Every
week, countless volunteers show up at churches to tirelessly work in
Children's Ministry. They work in Sunday School, children's church,
midweek club programs, VBS, and any number of other programs and
activities offered. Many
of these faithful volunteers are under-trained and under-equipped but
they serve anyway because they know that they are building up the
church of tomorrow. In The Well Equipped Volunteer Children's Ministry Handbook,
volunteers and kidmin leaders will find a comprehensive reference
manual that they'll use almost every single day to help them start and
grow their Children's Ministry.

Don't Get the Gimmie Gimmie's!
|
Gimmie! Gimmie! Thanksgiving
is a fast-paced, holiday trading game that illustrates thankfulness vs.
selfishness. Ideal for just a few kids as well as large groups, the
object is to collect a complete set of Thanksgiving cards, while
avoiding the greedy Gimmie! Gimmie!
Hectic fun unfolds as
players shout "Two! Two!" and other combinations of cards to trade, all
while working to build a matched set in the time allotted. Adapted by
Karl Bastian as a solution for understaffed volunteer situations around
the holidays, it provides an interactive object lesson while requiring
just a few leaders to run.
