Should Sunday School Be Boring?

Kidology Forums member dbondeson wonders about the goals of Sunday School:

I might be opening a can of worms, but...

Is it OK for Sunday School to be "boring?"

By that, I mean, should it be a value of those overseeing Sunday School to have it "not be boring" according to kids?

I'm fairly staunch in my defense of the classroom model for Sunday School vs. Children's Church. Into all that, if many kids are coming and are "bored," are we failing?
