House of Cards One of my favorite iPad apps for passing idle time is CardTower, which simulates building a house of cards with a virtual deck.  In my attempts to build a 'perfect' castle, when I reach that 6th level of cards, it always comes crashing down.

This reminds me of children's ministry.

We can print some nice brochures for the Visitor's Center or create awesome websites for prospective families.  Once in awhile we are able to snap a great picture to show the world.  We hope that no "breeze" will come along to knock down our "house" -- things like volunteers quitting, pastors adding more levels your foundation can't support, budget cuts -- and the list goes on and on.  

However, in reality, we're constantly building, experiencing crashes, and redoing.  Let's be supportive of each other during these amazing moments of accomplishment, but also remember to share prayer & support when the "house" gets a bit shaky and needs repair!
