God's Gotta Plan
I live in a neighborhood where there are still homes being built here and there, so on Sundays when the construction work comes to a halt and the sites are silent, my son and I like to explore the empty houses and learn how houses are built. It's fun to imagine what will be bedrooms, closets, and bathrooms while we walk through walls-to-be.
There are many complete homes in our 'hood with people living in them, and every now and then Luke will note, "We've been in their house when it was being built!" It's wonderful to see his eyes light up as we roam around, sometimes with flashlights, to see how each house is uniquely designed to be different from all the others.
This past Sunday we discovered some plans hidden under what will one day be a fireplace and I was able to show my son how the workers follow these plans. How they can see the finished house in their mind as they build. Each worker does his part - carpenter, roofer, electrician, plumber - to create what a family will soon call their home.
As he was studying the plans, I shared with him that God has a plan for his life too (Jeremiah 29:11). Lots of different people will play a part in working on his life as it unfolds over time. God can see what it will look like when He is done, but right now He is busy building, and He will keep building until the Day that He meets Jesus (Phil. 1:6).
Because you are one of those workers building into the lives of children, Kidology is here to Equip and Encourage YOU. You help kids become what God has designed them to be a little more each week. We count it a privilege to be a supplier of good material for you to work with. There is nothing more important or precious than building up children!
Because Jesus Loves Children,
