I live in a neighborhood where there are still homes being built here and there, so on Sundays when the construction work comes to a halt and the sites are silent, my son and I like to explore the empty houses and learn how houses are built. It's fun to imagine what will be bedrooms, closets, and Luke and Blueprintsbathrooms while we walk through walls-to-be.

There are many complete homes in our 'hood with people living in them, and every now and then Luke will note, "We've been in their house when it was being built!" It's wonderful to see his eyes light up as we roam around, sometimes with flashlights, to see how each house is uniquely designed to be different from all the others.

This past Sunday we discovered some plans hidden under what will one day be a fireplace and I was able to show my son how the workers follow these plans. How they can see the finished house in their mind as they build. Each worker does his part - carpenter, roofer, electrician, plumber - to create what a family will soon call their home.

As he was studying the plans, I shared with him that God has a plan for his life too (Jeremiah 29:11).  Lots of different people will play a part in working on his life as it unfolds over time. God can see what it will look like when He is done, but right now He is busy building, and He will keep building until the Day that He meets Jesus (Phil. 1:6).

Because you are one of those workers building into the lives of children, Kidology is here to Equip and Encourage YOU.  You help kids become what God has designed them to be a little more each week. We count it a privilege to be a supplier of good material for you to work with. There is nothing more important or precious than building up children!

PDF: Children's Ministry Manual
Children's Ministry ManualHave you ever wanted an example of a Children's Ministry Manual provided at other churches?  Kidology Kidmin Pro Jamie Doyle shares this 25-page PDF he provides his volunteers before they start ministering.

This manual helps communicate the vision, policy, and procedures in their kids ministry, while also giving volunteers some basic training.

You'll gain some great insight on kids, using tools like the Maslow Pyramid to help us better understand their needs.

Kidology Premium Members can download the PDF to use as a reference as you go through the process of creating your own policy manual.

DiscipleTown #17 - How to Be a Global Christian
"How to Be a Global Christian""Go Global!"

How to Be a Global Christian is Unit 17 in the DiscipleTown Kid's Church curriculum series from Karl Bastian and DiscipleLand.

Christians must expand their horizons and embrace God's heart for people all over the world. By broadening kids' perspectives to see beyond their local church and community, this unit will enable your children to grasp God's great plan and to participate in His Great Commission.

First, children need to see that God has a plan for every person to know His Son, Jesus. Next, they need to understand the Good News that Jesus came to bring salvation to every person - everywhere - so they will be able to share it. Then, they must understand that God uses His Church to spread His Good News around the world. Finally, they need to be challenged to have "beautiful feet" by sharing God's wonderful message.
