   The Ultimate Aim of Kidmin? In my contribution to Greg Baird's series on "The Future of Kid's Ministry," I predicted that Worship would become more important than Discipleship, while Safe Environments would become a central theme rather than Disciple-making. Recently, I ran across a church website that illustrated both:
"Our ultimate goal is for kids to become true worshipers of God through equipping them with an understanding of the Truths of God's Word and by understanding His character and by knowing the grace of the Gospel of Jesus."
Note that "understanding of the Truth" AND the "Gospel" are means to Worship - the ultimate goal.
